Son Espace Refuge is the app for animal shelters and rescue associations: tracking each animal from arrival to adoption, foster families, online adoption applications, volunteers, donations and tax receipts, legal registers.
Getting started
First steps
Create your Son Espace Santé account or your professional space, add your first animal and find your way around the app.
Login and security
Log in with a password, an email link or with Google, Facebook and Apple, recover a lost password, turn on two-step verification and manage your single account.
Installation and offline use
Install the app on iPhone or Android or use it in a browser, keep working without a connection thanks to offline mode, and receive notifications.
Settings
Profile, preferences, language, theme, customising the button bar, facility settings, connected apps and account deletion.

What the home screen of each app (owner, breeder, shelter, boarding) shows and the quick actions you can launch from it.
Creating your pro space
Create the space for your breeding kennel, shelter or boarding facility, set it up the first time you open the app and get started with your free trial.
Running the shelter
Animal statuses
Follow where each shelter animal stands: arrival, quarantine, adoptable, foster family, reserved, adopted, with long-stay alerts, the shelter logbook and cost per animal.
Foster families
Manage the shelter's foster families: profiles, availability, placing an animal, agreement, expense claims, applications from the website and the family's "Foster family" space.
Online adoption
Receive adoption applications from your website, process them in the Adoption tab, reserve, invoice the fees and hand the health record over to the adopter.
Adopter waiting list
Keep requests from people looking for a specific animal and let them know when a matching animal becomes adoptable at the shelter.
Volunteers and scheduling
Organise the shelter's volunteer shifts, count their hours, and log walks, meals and care in one gesture with quick actions and QR codes.
Donations and tax receipts
Collect one-off and monthly donations from the shelter's website, offer animal sponsorship, manage memberships and issue Cerfa tax receipts automatically.
Communication
Print adoption posters, share your animals on social media and prepare the annual report for your shelter's general meeting.
Cat colonies
Track the shelter's community cat colonies: map coloured by neutering rate, adding a colony by tapping the map, feeders' visits, identified cats and directions.

Adding an animal
Add an animal step by step (photo, species, breed, microchip), edit or delete its profile, with the specifics of the breeder, shelter and boarding spaces.

Vaccines

Use your animal's profile as a health summary to show the vet: identity, weight, vaccines, treatments, medical history and latest reports.
Weight tracking
Record your animal's weigh-ins, note its body condition score, read its weight curve and follow the growth of the young in a litter.

Record your animal's outings and training sessions live or by hand, read their statistics, trim a track and share an activity.
Heart rate
Measure your animal's resting heart rate by counting beats, with a heart rate strap or a Polar H10 ECG, and follow the history of measurements.
Connected devices
Register a Bluetooth heart rate strap or a Tindeq Progressor dynamometer and use them during your animal's activities and heart measurements.
Heatwaves and tips
Get an alert before a heatwave in your area and tip sheets suited to your animals: prevention, health, behaviour, feeding.

Friends and invitations
Add friends, follow accounts and invite your friends, family or clients to join the app by email, link, QR code or from your contacts.
Sharing an animal
Give a friend, a vet or a breeder access to your animals' profiles, read-only or with editing rights, and manage the shares you receive.
Discussions
Chat in private or group messages with your friends, your clients and your team, add photos, create polls and set your notifications.
Community map
Report and view hazards, lost animals and pet-friendly places, get alerts near you and find vets, boarding facilities, shelters and breeders.
Lost animal
Report your lost animal, alert nearby users, share the notice, print a poster with a QR code and mark the animal as found.
