Vet summary
At the vet's, you often need to answer quickly: when was the last vaccine? How much does the animal weigh? What treatment is it on? Your pet's profile brings these answers together on a single screen. Open it at the start of the appointment and show it to the vet.
Opening the summary
- Tap Animals in the button bar at the bottom of the screen (Boardings in the Boarding app).
- Tap the animal concerned: its profile opens directly on the overview.
The profile is described in detail on the The animal profile page. This page explains how to use it during an appointment.
What the vet sees at a glance
Identity
Photo, name (and official name if different), sex, species, breed, studbook registration, DNA or health tests, microchip number and passport number.
Age and weight
The calculated age and date of birth, the latest weight with its date, and the History button to show the weigh-in curve.
Heart rate
The latest resting measurement, in bpm, with its date and history. In the Shelter app, this box shows the animal's status instead.
Heat
In the Breeder app, for females: the date of the last heat.
The Health block
- Vaccines: "Up to date" or the number of overdue vaccines. Tap the line to see the full record. See Vaccines.
- Treatments: the number of ongoing treatments, or "No ongoing treatments". See Treatments.
- Diseases & Operations: a summary of the recorded diseases and procedures. See Diseases and results.
- Arthritis & Mobility (LOAD) (dogs): the result of the latest mobility assessment and its date.
The Tracking block
- Agenda: the next appointment and the number of upcoming events.
- Journal: everyday notes and photos, useful for finding out when a symptom started.
The Documents block
Tap Documents to open reports, prescriptions and certificates. At the top of this page, the Recent vet reports card gathers the last four vet visit reports, with their text and attached files: one tap opens the corresponding document or appointment. See Animal documents.
Preparing for the appointment
- Before the appointment, create it in the calendar with the vet concerned: you will get reminders.
- Check that the latest weight and vaccines are up to date on the profile.
- Note any symptoms or questions to ask in the appointment's description.
After the appointment
Open the appointment in the calendar and tap Complete the report. There you record the measured weight, any diseases or operations, the vaccines given, the prescribed treatment and the documents handed over (prescription, test results). This information updates the animal's profile: the summary is ready for the next visit.
Giving access to someone close
If someone else takes your pet to the vet, share the animal with them: they will be able to show the same summary on their phone. See Sharing an animal.
