Compatible GPS collars
GPS tracking is free in Son espace santé. However, we do not supply collars: you buy one from a manufacturer or retailer of open GPS collars, meaning collars that can be configured to send their positions to our server. You then link it to your account: its position appears in real time in the app, along with the history of its outings.
We currently support the PT32 and P5 models. Other models can be added on request (see below).
What you need
A compatible collar
One of the models below. We only list them after testing them with our server.
A SIM card
Your own SIM card, in the size specified for the model, with a plan that includes mobile data.
Good to know: in France, the Free €2/month plan works very well with our collars.
A phone
To send the collar the configuration SMS messages that the app gives you.
The models
The list below updates automatically, with purchase links when available. In the app, you will find it from the GPS screen: Set up a GPS collar, then I don't have a collar yet.
PT32
Lightweight 4G collar (43 g), IP65 waterproof, with a ringer and light to help you find your pet.
Nano SIM card. 4G LTE B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20 and 2G 900/1800 MHz networks; GPS, Beidou and Glonass.
Battery life: about 24 h in Live, 18 h in Activity, 3 to 4 days in Standby, 10 days in Sleep.
P5
4G collar made by SeeWorld (32 g, IP67 waterproof, 700 mAh battery), with sound and light to find your pet. It stores its positions during a network outage and sends them afterwards.
GPS, Glonass, Galileo and Beidou positioning, supplemented by Wi-Fi and the mobile network.
Still hard to find in France: it is mostly sold by SeeWorld resellers and on international marketplaces. Check that the listing clearly states the SeeWorld P5 model (the P5 PRO has not been tested yet).
What a collar linked to the app lets you do
- See your pet's position on a map, and make it ring or turn on its light to find it.
- Choose how often positions are sent (Live, Activity, Standby, Eco, Sleep) depending on battery and needs.
- Be notified when it leaves a safe zone, such as the house or garden.
- Launch "Lost pet" mode and share its position in real time with friends and family.
- View the history of its outings and its frequent places.
The details are explained in Using GPS day to day.
Two ways to connect it
Your own SIM
Free on the Son espace santé side. A SIM card with at least 10 MB of data a month (more if you often use Live) and the PIN code disabled. You configure the collar by SMS: the app gives you the messages to send.
The SIM subscription (coming soon)
A subscription with a SIM card included and a collar configured for you is coming soon.
Your collar is not in the list?
If it is an open GPS collar (configurable by SMS to send its positions to another server), write to us at contact@sonespacesante.com with its brand and model: we can consider supporting it.
Once linked to Son espace santé, the collar no longer needs its manufacturer's app or subscription.
