Calendar and appointments

Son Espace SantéBreederShelterBoarding

The Agenda brings together all your pets' appointments, treatments and events: vet visits, deworming, grooming, shows… It sends you reminders before each due date and can sync with your phone's calendar.

Opening the calendar

  • Main calendar: tap Agenda in the button bar at the bottom of the screen.
  • An animal's calendar: on the animal's profile, in the Tracking block, tap Agenda. The line shows the next appointment and the number of upcoming events.

In a professional organisation, the calendar is only visible to members who are allowed to view it; otherwise the screen says "Your access rights do not allow you to view the calendar."

Calendar views

The buttons at the top of the screen change the display. The arrows take you to the previous or next period, and the centre button brings you back to today.

ViewWhat it shows
MonthThe month's calendar. Tap a day to show the list of its events: on a computer in a panel on the right, on a phone below the calendar.
WeekThe week's events, hour by hour.
DayThe details of a single day.
Timeline (icon on the right)A chronological list of all events, grouped by month.
PlanningOnly shown when the calendar contains boarding stays: one row per stay, with day-by-day occupancy.

On a computer, in month view, you can also drag the mouse across several days to select a period.

Filtering events

The filter bar lets you show a single type of event (Treatments, Veterinary visits, Events, Appointments, Heat/Reproduction) or a single status. Filters also apply to the month view.

For boarding facilities

In the Boarding app, the calendar also shows a Today banner (animals present, arrivals, departures, stays to be confirmed), the remaining capacity and an occupancy shade on each day of the month. These screens are described in detail on the Boarding planning and logbook page.

Adding an appointment or event

At the bottom of the calendar, the action bar offers:

  • New appointment: the most common shortcut;
  • Add: opens a choice between Add an appointment, Add a treatment, Add an event, shortcuts to frequent treatments, and Add boarding in the Boarding app.

From an animal's calendar, the Appointment and Event buttons create an event directly for that animal. In month view, the + button in a day's panel creates an appointment on that date.

Filling in the form

  1. Title: prefilled according to the chosen type, can be edited.
  2. Veterinarian: if you have saved clinics in your contacts, choose the vet (or "None"). See Vets.
  3. Animals: select one or more animals (required).
  4. Start time and Duration: pick a duration from the suggested shortcuts or tap Other to enter an end date.
  5. Description: your notes (reason, instructions…).
  6. Event status: To be confirmed, Validated, Cancelled or Done.
  7. Icon and color: by default, the event keeps the icon and color of its type. Tap the preview to choose another icon and another color; the Default button restores the original appearance. They are shown in the calendar, the timeline and on the home screen.
  8. Documents: attach a prescription, a quote, a photo…
  9. Tap Save.
Tip: On a phone, the Fill in the form by voice button lets you dictate the event (animal, date, type…) instead of typing it.

Treatments (medication, dewormers, flea and tick treatments, recurring treatments) have extra options: they are described in detail on the Treatments page.

Recording a past event

You can enter an appointment that has already taken place to keep the history. For a past treatment, the app offers to close it and to state whether it succeeded or failed.

Event details

Tap an event in the calendar to open its details. They show the type, status, date, vet, description and animals concerned, as well as:

  • Invoices: linked invoices and the Add an invoice button (see Invoices and expenses);
  • Documents: attached files and the Add a document button.

The action bar at the bottom offers Back, update to edit the event, Close to mark it as done (for a vet visit this button does not appear: set the status to Done via update), and, in the … menu, Add to calendar to add it to your phone's or computer's calendar.

To delete an event, open it for editing: the bin icon at the top of the screen asks for confirmation ("Delete the event?").

The vet visit report

For a vet visit, the details include a Visit report card. Tap Complete the report to record, for each animal:

  • the measured weight;
  • any diseases and surgical operations noted, or Nothing to report;
  • the vaccines given during the visit (Add a vaccine);
  • the text of the report (you can dictate it);
  • a prescribed treatment, with the option to import the prescription;
  • documents (lab report, X-ray…).

This information feeds into the animal's profile (weight, vaccines, diseases) and the list of recent reports. See Vet summary.

Reminders and notifications

For every appointment, treatment or event with the status To be confirmed or Validated, the app sends you a notification:

  • 30 days, 15 days and 7 days before;
  • the day before ("Appointment tomorrow");
  • on the day itself ("Appointment today").

If an event has passed but is still Validated, you receive an overdue reminder 1, 7, 15 and 30 days after its date. Close your events once they are done so you are no longer reminded.

At the top of the calendar, a Medications to give box reminds you of the day's doses when a treatment is under way.

Syncing with your phone's calendar

Tap the gear icon at the top right of the calendar to open Calendar Synchronization.

In the mobile app

  • Export events to phone calendar: turn on the switch, then choose the Target Calendar. New events are copied automatically to the phone's calendar (Google, Outlook, iCloud).
  • Import external calendars: select the phone calendars whose events should be imported into the app.

On a computer (browser)

  1. Tap Generate Link: a secure subscription link is created.
  2. Copy it with Copy link, or tap Open.
  3. Add it to your calendar: in Google Calendar, Settings then Add calendar from URL; in Outlook, Add calendar then Subscribe from web; in Apple Calendar, File then New Calendar Subscription.

This link is read-only: your external calendar shows your events but cannot change them.

Anyone who has this link can see your events. If you shared it by mistake, tap Revoke and generate a new link: the old link stops working.

Frequently asked questions

I am not receiving reminders.

Check that notifications for the app are allowed on your phone and that the event's status is To be confirmed or Validated: cancelled or completed events do not trigger reminders.

My calendar is empty even though I have appointments on my phone.

Open the sync settings (gear icon) and choose the calendars to import under Import external calendars.
