Schedule and stay logbook

Boarding

Three tools help you day to day: the Day plan to know where each animal sleeps, the public agenda to show visitors your activity, and the stay journal to send photos and news to owners.

The day plan

Open the menu (icon at the top left), Boarding section, then Day plan. The arrows and the Today button let you change day.

Drawing your kennels

If you do not have a plan yet, tap Draw my boxes: the plan editor opens and you draw your kennels in it. You can come back to it at any time with Edit the plan, in the action bar, or from the Boarding > Plan menu.

The plan is optional. Without a plan, your capacity is simply set as a number of places, possibly per species (see Boarding settings).

Setting up a kennel

On each kennel, the gear icon lets you set the Places in this box and the Species accepted (none = all). The app takes them into account to warn you when a kennel is full or a species is not accepted in it.

Assigning an animal to a kennel

  1. In the Not assigned to a box card, tap the animal.
  2. Then tap the kennel where it sleeps.

To move an animal, tap it in its kennel then tap the new kennel. The small cross next to its name removes it from the kennel. Each kennel shows its occupants for the day, or Vacant followed, where relevant, by the date until which it stays free.

Assignment can also be done from the stay page, Box part: the app suggests a compatible kennel that is free for the period ("Suggested: …"), without ever applying it automatically. The history of kennel changes is kept there.

The week view

Below the kennels, the Week table shows, kennel by kennel, the animals present each day of the week (Monday to Sunday) of the day shown. Stays without a kennel appear on the Not assigned line.

At the bottom of the page, the Waiting list card groups together the people waiting for a place to become available (see Booking requests).

The public calendar

Once turned on in Settings > Public agenda, an Agenda tab appears on your public page. Visitors see, month by month, the occupied days and the photo and first name of the animals already booked (three at most per day, then "+N").

What is shown, and what is not

  • Only confirmed or ongoing stays appear. A pending or declined offer is never shown.
  • The past is not shown: the calendar starts from the current month and goes up to twelve months ahead.
  • No information about owners, prices or comments is published.

The colour code

If your number of places is entered, each day is coloured according to how full it is, with a legend: Places available, Filling up, Almost full, Full. Without a number of places, occupied days stay a neutral colour.

Days when your boarding facility is full are marked Full, unless you have turned this setting off.

Requesting dates from the calendar

The visitor taps the arrival day, then the departure day. The calendar shows the number of days (arrival day and departure day included) and the animals already present on those dates. If you accept online bookings, the Request these dates button opens the request form with those dates already filled in.

Days too close to respect your notice period cannot be chosen.

The stay logbook

The stay logbook lets you post a photo and a couple of lines for the owner in a few seconds. They receive them by email and view them on a page that does not require an account. They can also reply to you.

Tip: one photo a day is enough. It is what owners remember, and what makes them want to recommend you.

Posting news

  1. Open the stay page of an animal that is boarding: in the Agenda, tap its stay.
  2. In the Stay journal part, choose the type: Walk, Meal, Play / cuddle, Nap, Care or Other.
  3. Write a few words and add one or more photos with Photo.
  4. If you can access the animal's health record, you can turn on Also in the health record to copy the post into it.
  5. Tap Publish.

Published news appears below the form, with any reply from the owner. The bin icon deletes a post.

Posting for several animals

For a group walk, there is no need to post six times:

  1. On the Boardings screen, tap Publish news in the action bar.
  2. Tick the animals concerned.
  3. Choose the type, write the text and add the photos.
  4. Tap Publish: a post is created for each selected stay.

A stay's settings

  • Share news with the owner: turn it off for an owner who does not wish to receive news.
  • Email frequency: Email for each news, Daily summary at 7 pm (default) or No email. The owner can also change it themselves.
  • Owner page opens the page as the owner sees it, and Copy the link copies its address so you can send it by text message or messaging app.

If the logbook is turned off for the whole boarding facility, a message says so: turn it back on in Settings > Stay journal.

The owner's replies

From their page, the owner can reply to each post and leave you a message. Their replies arrive in a boarding facility discussion, open to team members (see Discussions).

The end-of-stay album

The Stay album (PDF) button gathers the photos and the timeline of the stay. On closing, the album is sent once to the owner, with the link to their page. Once the stay is over, Send the album lets you send it again. The album is included in the paid plans.

How long does the page stay online?

The stay page can be viewed during the stay and up to 30 days after departure. After that, it says the stay is over and offers to download the album for another 30 days. The page never gives access to the animal's health record.

What the owner sees is described in Book a boarding stay.
