Pharmacy
The Pharmacy is the inventory of the products you have at home or in your organisation: tablets, flea and tick pipettes, drops, sprays, supplements… For each product, you record the quantity left and can find the purchase invoice.
Opening the pharmacy
- Tap Pharmacy in the button bar at the bottom of the screen, or under the More button (the three dots) if it is not shown in the bar.
- You can also find it in the main menu.
In a professional organisation, the pharmacy is only visible to members who are allowed to view it, and only those allowed to edit it see the Add button. See Members and rights.
The product list
Each product appears as a card with:
- its name and photo (tap the photo to enlarge it);
- a colour-coded quantity badge with the unit: red when the stock is at zero, orange when one unit or less is left, green otherwise;
- its description, if any;
- the link to the associated purchase invoice(s).
Products are sorted from the largest to the smallest quantity. Tap a card to edit the product.
Adding a product
Tap Add in the action bar. Three methods are offered.
Adding a product
Manual entry: photo (optional), product name, quantity and unit.
Photo of the box
Take a photo of the box: the app analyses it and suggests the name, quantity and unit. Check them, then save.
Photo of the invoice
Take a photo of the invoice: the expense is created and the products spotted on the invoice can be added to your pharmacy in one go.
Manual entry, step by step
- Tap Add, then Add a product.
- Tap the photo frame to photograph the box (optional). If the name is still empty, the app analyses the photo and prefills the name, quantity and unit.
- Enter the Name of product (for example the medicine's brand name).
- Enter the Quantity and Unit: box(es), tablet(s), milligram(s), gram(s), kilogram(s), millilitre(s), litre(s), drop(s), pipette(s) or other.
- Tap Save.
From an invoice
When you add an invoice by photo (from the pharmacy or from Invoices and expenses), the app reads the invoice lines. If it spots pet products, it asks you: "Products have been identified on the invoice, would you like to add them automatically to your pharmacy?". If you answer yes, a window opens with the products prefilled, which you can correct before saving. The product then keeps the link to its invoice.
Updating the stock
- Tap the product card, correct the quantity, then Save.
- To delete a product, open it and tap the red bin icon at the bottom left.
Automatic countdown with treatments
When you create a detailed treatment with its medicines (see Treatments), each medicine offers the Use pharmacy stock option ("Pick from your pharmacy and decrease stock on each intake"). Then choose the product under Medication (from stock): each time a dose is marked as given, it is deducted from the product's quantity, never going below zero.
Sharing the pharmacy
When you share your pets with someone close to you, the Share the pharmacy option gives them access to your inventory. See Sharing an animal.
Frequently asked questions
Can I record an expiry date?
No, the pharmacy tracks each product's name, photo, quantity and unit, but not an expiry date. You can note the date on the photo of the box.
Is the pharmacy shared by all my pets?
Yes: the inventory belongs to your account (or your organisation); it is not linked to any particular animal.
