Members and rights

BreederShelterBoarding

Your pro space can be shared with your whole team: partners, employees, volunteers. Each member has their own account, and you decide exactly what they can view and change.

Opening the team

  • In the side menu, Organization > The team section.
  • Or in Organization > Settings, Team and rights line.

The list shows each member with their roles as tags (Administrator, Animals, Calendar, Accounting / Invoices…). The note The account has not yet been activated by the user. indicates an invitation the person has not yet responded to.

To see the team, you must be an administrator or have a right on Team members. Otherwise, the screen says Your access rights do not allow you to view the team.

Inviting a new member

  1. On the team screen, tap Add in the action bar at the bottom.
  2. Enter the member's Email, First name and Last name (all three are required).
  3. Choose a role from the Choose a user role list: the rights are set automatically.
  4. Fine-tune the rights one by one with the switches if needed.
  5. Tap Save.

An email is sent to the address given, with a link that lets the member choose their password and complete their profile. They then sign in to the same app as you (Breeder, Shelter or Boarding).

Tip: the member did not receive the email? Open their details and tap Resend activation email. Also ask them to check their spam folder.

The same email address can only be used by one team member: if it is already taken, the app refuses to create a second one.

Predefined roles

The role is used to set up rights quickly; you can then fine-tune them one by one.

RoleWhat it allows
AdministratorAll rights, across the whole space.
Manages animals and calendarView and edit animals, the calendar, the plan, the pharmacy, foster families and accounting, and record walks. No access to the team, shares, vets or organisation settings.
Walks the animalsOnly recording walks: ideal for a volunteer dog walker.
CustomA read-only starting point (animals, calendar, plan, team, pharmacy, shares, vets, foster families) with walks, without accounting. Adjust to suit your needs.

Rights in detail

The All rights switch (Administrator section) gives full access: the other settings then disappear, because Administrators have all rights. For a non-administrator member, most topics offer two levels: Read-only or Write & read.

An edit right always includes read access: there is no need to turn on both switches.

What a member sees depending on their rights

  • A member without the Organization right can open Settings, but only to view them: a banner says You can view these settings; only an administrator can change them.
  • Some settings lines (electronic invoicing and online payment, data import, subscription) are only visible to administrators.
  • A member who only has the Animal walk right uses a simplified app focused on walks: the Organization section of the menu is not offered to them.
  • In the Shelter app, administrators and walkers have Tracking and Planning shortcuts at the top of the side menu (see Volunteers and planning).

Editing or removing a member

  1. On the team screen, tap the member's card.
  2. Change their information or rights, then tap Save.
  3. To remove them from the team, tap Delete (on the left of the action bar), then confirm with Yes, delete it.

The removed member no longer has access to your space. The organisation's animals, invoices and other data stay in place.

Frequently asked questions

The member cannot find the organisation after signing in.

Check that they are using the same app as you (Breeder, Shelter or Boarding) and the email address the invitation was sent to.

How do I give someone exactly the same rights as me?

Choose the Administrator role or turn on All rights. Keep it for people who actually run the organisation: an administrator can change everything, including the team.
