What really changes for a breeding business

A lot of information is going around about the reform, and most of it doesn't concern your activity. Here are the three points that matter.

Receiving becomes mandatory

From 1 September 2026, all businesses in France must be able to receive an electronic invoice through the official channel. Dog and cat breeders are no exception, whatever their size.

Your sales to private buyers don't change

A private individual buying a puppy or kitten falls under B2C, outside the scope of the reform. Your invoices and sale certificates stay exactly as they are today. Nothing to change on that side.

Selling to a professional comes later

If you sell to a pet shop or a fellow breeder with a SIRET, the obligation to issue electronic invoices comes at the next deadline, not in September 2026. Son Espace Éleveur already handles both directions: you won't have anything to do when the time comes.

In practice, what happens if you do nothing?

Your food supplier, your vet and your equipment supplier switch to the official channel. Their invoice is sent to your business… and looks for your platform in the directory. If you're not connected anywhere, it doesn't arrive anywhere.

Your business is connected to an approved platform

We integrate SuperPDP, a partner e-invoicing platform (PDP). The account is created on the fly and your SIRET is registered in the official directory. You have no external form to fill in and no extra login to remember.

Your supplier invoices arrive in the app

And they automatically pre-fill an expense: amount, VAT, supplier, detailed lines. No more re-entering. Your own invoices go out through the same channel in Factur-X format, an ordinary PDF with the data embedded in it.

Frequently asked questions

Are my puppy sales to private buyers affected?

No. A private individual falls under B2C, outside the scope. Your invoices and sale certificates stay the same. What changes on 1 September 2026 is the receipt of invoices from your professional suppliers.

What if I sell to a pet shop or a fellow breeder?

If your customer has a SIRET, it's B2B: the obligation to issue electronic invoices will apply to you at the next deadline, not in September 2026. The app already generates these invoices in Factur-X format and sends them through the official channel.

What happens if I'm not connected to any platform?

Your suppliers will send their invoices through the official channel and, without a connection, they won't arrive anywhere. No invoice received means no accounting record and no deductible VAT on those purchases.

How long does connecting take?

About two minutes. You enter your SIRET, confirm the connection to SuperPDP, and you're done. No installation, no account to create elsewhere, no technical setup.

Is e-invoicing charged as an extra?

No, it's included in the subscription from the Élevage plan (€14.99/month, 200 invoices per month), with no module or add-on; the Élevage + plan has no cap. The quota is shared between sending and receiving. The free plan does not give access to it.

Does it work in Belgium?

Yes. The B2B obligation is already in force there and the platform integration is active in Son Espace Éleveur.
