Public page and website

BreederShelterBoarding

Every pro space has a website: your shop window, with your animals, your contact details and a link to share. In the app, it is called the website; you will also see the term public page on some screens: it is the same thing.

Its address looks like apps.sonespacesante.com/elevage/…, /refuge/… or /pension/…, followed by the name of your organisation. You choose what appears on it, and you can deactivate it at any time.

Activating or deactivating your website

  1. Open the side menu, Organization > Settings section.
  2. Tap the Public page and website line.
  3. Turn Activate the website on or off.
  4. Tap Save.

On the same screen, the Description block lets you write your organisation's introduction, with a simple text editor.

The website is activated by default when a space is created. When it is deactivated, visitors see a Private message: owners can neither find you nor send you a request.

Several features depend on the website: your marker on the map, your listing in the app's directories and, for a boarding facility, online bookings and the public calendar. With the website deactivated, they are no longer visible.

Sharing your website address

At the top of the Settings page, when your website is active, its address is shown with two buttons:

  • Copy link: the address is copied, ready to paste into a message, an email or your social media.
  • Open: shows your website in the app.

The side menu also offers the Organization > My website entry, which opens your website directly.

What your visitors see

At the top, the website shows your banner, your logo and your name, then a tab bar. The tabs provided automatically depend on your activity:

TabContentApps
AboutYour description, full page.All
InformationEmail, phone, town, map and Directions button. All
JournalYour posts visible to everyone.All

LittersYour litters and their details.Breeder

The pages you write yourself are added to the same tab bar: visitors cannot tell the difference.

Depending on your activity, the website also offers actions to visitors:

On your website, visitors do not see the app's menus: only your shop window.

Editing your website, directly on the website

There is no separate editing screen: you edit your website while looking at it, just as your visitors see it. Open your website (My website in the menu, or Edit my website in Settings > Public page and website).

If you are allowed to edit the organisation, editing tools appear:

  • On the banner: Add a banner or Change the banner, Reposition (drag the image to choose the visible part, then Save) and deletion.
  • On the logo: Change logo, with a square crop.
  • A Manage my website bar with Edit this page (when one of your pages is open), Add a page and Organize the menu.

The logo is your identity, used everywhere (map, directories, invoices); the banner is a wide backdrop specific to your website.

Adding a page

  1. In the Manage my website bar, tap Add a page.
  2. Enter the Page title (for example "Our prices", "Find us", "Adopt").
  3. Under Content, tap Add a block and choose a block type. Repeat to build the page.
  4. Tap Save. An unsaved change is flagged by Unsaved changes.

Available blocks

For everyone

Banner, Text, Photo gallery, Prices, FAQ, Opening hours, Action button (to a booking, an adoption or your contact details), Our animals, Map, Testimonials.

Breeder

Waiting list ("I am looking for a puppy") and Our breeding dogs.

Shelter

Waiting list, Make a donation, Join us and Become a foster family.

Blocks are formatted automatically: no code to write, and a consistent look on phone and computer alike.

The photo library

Below the page content, the Photo library gathers your images. Add a photo makes it available to every page on your website. Deleting a photo removes it from every page that uses it.

Page settings

The editor's Page settings button opens:

  • Web address: the end of the page's address, filled in from the title.
  • Description for search engines: the sentence shown under your page in Google results.
  • Published: until it is published, the page remains a draft that visitors cannot see.
  • Show in the menu: the page appears (or not) in the tab bar.

Organising the menu

The Organize the menu window has two parts:

  • My pages: change the order of your pages with the arrows, open one to edit it. Unpublished pages are marked Draft.
  • Built-in tabs: hide the automatic tabs you do not want (for example the logbook if you do not post). At least one tab or page must remain visible.

Every change in this window is saved immediately: just Close it. You still see hidden tabs on your website, faded and marked with a crossed-out eye; your visitors do not see them.

Tip: an "Our prices" page with a Prices block, a "Find us" page with the Opening hours and Map blocks, and a FAQ block answer most of the questions people ask you on the phone.

Pages and plans

Your website's home (animals, contact details, logbook) is available to everyone, including on the free plan. The pages you write yourself are available on paid plans, up to 20 pages. On the free plan, the app says Extra pages are available on the higher plans. See Subscription.

Who can edit the website?

Administrators and members allowed to edit the Organization (see Members and rights). Other members see the website as a visitor would.

Being found: search engines, map and directories

  • Search engines: your website and your published pages are prepared to be read by Google and other search engines. The FAQ, Opening hours and Prices blocks are also passed to search engines in a structured form. Take care over each page's Description for search engines.
  • Map: in Settings > Location on the map, tap Locate from address to place your organisation on the community map; Remove from the map takes it off. Your marker only appears if your website is active.
  • Directories: organisations whose website is active appear in the app's directories (boarding facilities, breeders, shelters).

Appearing in search engine results is not immediate: it depends on when they crawl your site, which can take several days.
